SCHSHL Scholarship Info
The annual SCHSHL scholarship applications are now available online on the the league website. Please download form and application and mail to the league no later than April 1,2010. No emails accepted -hard copies only
We are proud to say that the last 2 winners of this scholarship have been Sachem alumnus. Let's try to continue in this great tradtion.

The following are  changes to the JV game schedule.

From Saturday March 19 to March 15 @ 8:10  vs. Smithtown
From April 7 @ 7:30 to April 5 @9:00

ATTENTION ALL GRADUATING SENIORS!
The Sachem Ice Hockey Scolaraship applications have been mailed to each graduating senior. The packet contains all info and details needed to complete and submit  for selection.
Applications must be completed and returned no later than April 1,2010. If you do not receive a packet in the next few days please let your coach or team manager know . All applications are due April 1,2010. We encourage all seniors to take advantage of this great oppurtunity.

First Place Finish For Sachem Varsity!

Congradulations to the Sachem Varsity boys with the first place regulator season finish! The team finished with an impressive 17-2-1 record to lock in first place with an equally impressive 6-2 victory over Middle Country on Monday night. As an added bonus, Monday nights game can be viewed on MSG Varsity on Thursday night @ 8pm (channel 14 or 614 on cable). Their will also be (3) other viewing times and dates for the game so if you miss Thursdays viewing just check your sports listing in Newsday for other dates and times.The Varsity playoffs will start on Monday Feb. 8th. Please come down and support the team.

By Law/Nominations Commitee

The By Laws and Nominations Commitees will take new/changes to the By Laws and nominations for the Board of Directors until February 21, 2010 when they will be posted on the website.  Voting will take place at the February 28, 2010 parent meeting.

The By Laws can be found on the By Laws button on the left side of the website.  Please submit any changes to or new By Laws to Bill Sergio at 631-682-0590 or Barbara Curran  at 631-472-2568 .

Nominations for Board of Directors positions including, President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer can be made to Bob Snyder at 631-981-2635 or Cindy Nuetzal at 631-588-3384 .

Member suggestions/complaints

Any members wishing to make comments/suggestions/complaints should follow our bylaws below.
 
Article XIII: Complaint Procedure
Members having comments or complaints concerning an individual or team problem should voice these to the appropriate team manager. The team manager will bring this matter to the Head Coach for consideration and possible action. If the problem cannot be resolved, it can then be taken to the Board of Governors for final resolution.
 
Please do not bring up issues and complaints to a Board Member when a Board Member is attending a game for their child.  That is not the time nor the place.   Thank you.

Instructions to Register for a USA Hockey Card

 

Go to USAhockey.com

Click on Register on line (it is on the right hand of the upper part of the page)

Click on Ice Players and Coaches

Click the box that states you are 18 or older

Then hit Continue

Click on the 2009/2010 box

Click on a Child or Family Member Under 18

Begin to complete the form

When putting your phone number in do not use the dashes (-)

Click that you Accept the Waiver

Put your initials (it only takes two)

Click to Continue to Checkout

Click Continue if you are only doing one

Complete the billing information

Click Pay Now

Open and print the certificate – Make one copy for your records

And give a copy to your team manager/Board Member.
